Wimbledon Sewing Machine Company have reopened their Sewing Machine Museum, on the fist Saturday of every month. It's a fascinating place located within the Wimbledon Sewing Machine Company on Balham High Road, London. It features around 700 industrial and domestic sewing machines of all makes and ages. The machine is covered with ornamental engraving under a silver gilt finish. It has a cut glass cover with Prussian and British royal coats of arms.  The oak treadle is carved with Imperial eagles and, as a reminder of home, the stitch plate is engraved with a view of Windsor Castle. The Museum has been featured on Channel 4's "Collect
