Sewing Group in Blackpool

Whilst visiting a new dealer: Cinderella Gowns in Cleveleys, our very own Melanie Haigh came across a sewing group in Blackpool. A few words and pictures from her:

I felt very lucky to be invited to visit the Crafty Group of ladies having an exciting week of creativity in Blackpool last week.

Betty Beasley from Yorkshire formed a ‘Craft Group’ back in 2005 bringing together enthusiastic ladies from all over the country.

The Group has grown to 30 now and even has a waiting list!  They all get together twice a year, bring all their projects, machines and ideas and spend their days creating wonderful bags, quilts, book covers, cushions and much more.

In November they have a sale in aid of Cystic Fibrosis and sell some of the lovely things they’ve made.

I will be returning to see them and photograph the finished items.
