Festival of Quilts 2017
This year’s Festival of Quilts promises to be bigger and better than ever.
Positioned as Europe’s leading patchwork and quilting event attracting 24,000 quilters from all over the world. The show is a celebration of quilting in all its forms, with over 300 exhibitors offering essential supplies, professionally curated galleries of quilts from leading international makers, 350 workshops, talks and demos plus a magnificent display of over 700 competition quilts. It is the ultimate patchwork and quilting experience.
Workshops run for the duration of the event, and this year they have more classes than ever in the Quick & Easy programme, covering an exciting and diverse range of patchwork, quilting and other stitching, dyeing and printing crafts. Quick & Easy classes are perfect for people looking for a taster class or who have less time to spend at the show.
This year they will once again be hosting a programme of Talks & Lectures from leading tutors and gallery artists. They will be sharing their methods, inspiration and more in a series of 30 and 45 minute talks throughout the show.
Hear from leading experts as they demo various techniques in the Festival Theatre. Large screens will help you see the close-up detail of the demo which will end with a short Q&A.
Dates this year are Thurs 10th – Sun 13th August 2017. Come along and say hello!
